Michael Vick tortured dogs. Maimed them. Mangled their faces beyond recognition. Even killed them. The dogfighting ring he ran out of his backyard, one fueled not for the money he didn't need but for sheer bloodlust, got him shipped off to prison for 23 months.
That said, the man has every right to play in the NFL, and the Steelers have every right to employ him.
Just as I'll reserve every right to consider him a wholly loathesome human being.
And yes, holding both positions really is possible.
