MILWAUKEE - Ryan Vogelsong had almost as much to lose as his team did Thursday night at Miller Park.
The Pirates did lose, 3-1, as the Brewers rode Scooter Gennett's first-inning, two-run home run all the way to the finish. That dropped the visitors back to .500 at 76-76 and left them four games behind the three-team pack clawing away for the National League wild card.
With only 10 games to go and the final three series lining up with the Nationals, Cubs and Cardinals, hey, that's pretty much a wrap.
