Dale Lolley has covered the Steelers since 1993 for the Washington Observer-Reporter, one of the longest tenures of any NFL beat writer, and he's done so with distinction.
We're proud beyond words to announce he's been hired to do that job for us.
Mark Kaboly has taken another job with another site. We wish him the best.
Dale's dedication to his work is ... well, I'm going to leave that for him when he pens his introduction. Let's just say for here that I don't think I've ever been to a Steelers event of any kind anywhere -- game, practice, availability, you name it -- where he wasn't the first one there and the last one out. And he's done that in some tough circumstances over the years.
Above that, though, the guy's a total pro in his reporting, knowledge, background and a breezy, effortless writing style, the kind our readers have expressed for a long time they prefer.
We're very confident he'll be a great fit here.
