It's not just that Riley Sheahan came up with the most compelling offensive play.
It's that, for the better part of the Penguins' 2-1 burial by the Blackhawks on this Saturday night, no one else on the home side came close to carving up the PPG Paints Arena ice as he did. Shift after shift, rush after rush, he burst through the neutral zone, backing off defensemen, bullying his way through the Chicago slot, skating and creating at both ends.
The man seriously stood out.
"I feel like my feet are going," Sheahan would tell me afterward. "When I get in trouble, I find myself standing still, just watching the action, maybe reacting a little too much ... but when I'm going, I'm moving, cutting into the hard areas, creating a little chaos, getting the puck to the net ... nothing too fancy."
