Tristan Jarry. - MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

True to their word, the Penguins are rotating Matt Murray's backup goaltenders.

A day after stopping 35 of 38 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Devils, Casey DeSmith was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Tristan Jarry has been recalled.

Mike Sullivan had stated that DeSmith would stay up as long as he's the hot hand, but that ended Saturday night in Newark, through no fault of his own. He had won two of his previous three starts. DeSmith is 3-3 with a .926 save percentage and 2.23 goals-against average.

Jarry's last NHL start came Jan. 17 in a 5-3 loss at Anaheim. With Pittsburgh, Jarry is 9-4-2 with a .919 save percentage and 2.44 GAA. During his most recent stint in the AHL, he went 3-0, stopping 8o of 85 shots for a .941 save percentage.

The Penguins return to practice tomorrow morning at PPG Paints Arena where they''ll host Marc-Andre Fleury and the NHL-leading Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. The Penguins have won seven in a row at home.
