The full contract details of the Steelers’ two latest free agent signings have now become available and they look very friendly to the team.

According to OverTheCap.com, the deals signed by linebacker Jon Bostic and safety Morgan Burnett earlier this week leave the Steelers with around $3 million in salary cap space, enough to sign their draft choices this year while not making another move.

All told, the two moves will cost the Steelers just under $4 million against their salary cap in 2018.

Bostic’s two-year deal is worth $4 million, with $1.4 million of that coming in signing bonus. His base salary in 2018 is just $800,000, meaning he counts $1.5 million against the team’s salary cap.

In 2019, Bostic’s base salary jumps to $1.8 million, giving him a cap hit of $2.5 million, which is still a team-friendly contract. If the Steelers decide to release the linebacker after the 2018 season, which is unlikely, he would cost them just $700,000 against the cap in 2019.

Burnett’s 3-year, $14.25 million contract — slightly less than the $14.5 million originally reported — has base salaries of $1 million in 2018, $5 million in 2019 and $4 million in 2020. His signing bonus was $4.25 million, meaning he has a cap hit of $2.41 million in 2018, $6.41 million in 2019 and $5.41 million in 2020.

It also is in line with the two-year, $6.8-million deal former Steelers cornerback Ross Cockrell signed Friday with Carolina.
