The Penguins benefited greatly the past two springs by the contributions of minor-league reinforcements like Bryan Rust, Conor Sheary and Jake Guentzel.
It remains to be seen if Zach Aston-Reese and Dominik Simon can have that type of impact, but they have the potential. They just haven’t been healthy lately, though that looks like it’s about to change.
