Steelers open preseason against defending Super Bowl champions

The Steelers didn't make it to the Super Bowl last season. But they'll open their 2018 preseason schedule against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles according to the schedule released by the team Wednesday.

The Steelers will travel to Philadelphia in Week 1 of the preseason, though the exact date will be determined when the league releases its entire schedule. The Eagles, who defeated New England to win their first Super Bowl at the end of last season, will be making their first appearance at home. The game is scheduled to be played sometime between Aug. 9-12.

The following week, the Steelers will travel to Green Bay to play the Packers, before finishing off their preseason schedule at Heinz Field.

Pittsburgh will host Tennessee Aug. 25 before finishing off its preseason schedule Aug. 30 with its annual game against Carolina.
