DENVER -- All concussions come with indefinite timelines, but the Penguins sound upbeat about Patric Hornqvist's recent steps toward recovery.
Hornqvist has been skating in Pittsburgh "the past couple days" with Ty Hennes, the team's skating and skills instructor, Mike Sullivan said before the game here Wednesday night against the Avalanche.
"He's had two really good days," Sullivan said of Hornqvist. "And so, we're encouraged by his progress. We'll take each day as it comes, as we always do with concussions, and we'll listen to what our medical staff says, but it certainly is encouraging that Horny's had two really good days on the ice."
Hornqvist was hurt last Friday in Boston.
Sullivan had no updates on other injured players.
