Right-hander Aaron Slegers, who is 6-foot-10, was claimed off waivers from the Twins on Friday. He has made five starts and three relief appearances over the last two seasons in the major leagues, going 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA and 1.27 WHIP.

In the 2018 season, the 26-year-old was 1-1 with a 5.27 ERA in four games, including two starts, with the Twins. He also went 5-7 with a 3.80 ERA and 1.21 WHIP for Triple-A Rochester.
