ATLANTA — When it comes to ranking Julian Edelman‘s abilities against other receivers in the NFL, we’ll defer to the esteemed Cordarrelle Patterson.
Asked after the Patriots' 13-3 win over the Rams in Super Bowl LIII here at Mercedes-Benz Stadium where Edelman — the game's MVP — ranks among the NFL's best receivers, Patterson was exceedingly blunt.
“Jules? He’s No. 1. No. 1,” Patterson said with a smile. “Nobody can (expletive) with Jules in the slot, man. Nobody. He gets so much separation and control. The things he can do, it’s just different. For real. For a guy like me to see the things he can do, it really is amazing. The hard work he puts in each and every day, he’s second to none.”
