RICHMOND, Va. -- The TYR Pro Swim Series, a professional swimming event featuring some of the sport’s biggest names, took place right here in Richmond last week. My kids have dabbled in the sport over the last few years, so I kept up with the proceedings, my interest piqued.
You couldn’t help but notice Katie Ledecky … she was the main attraction, and lived up to the hype, dominating the tournament. But Mt. Lebanon's Leah Smith, a gold medalist at the Rio Olympics in 2016 -- DK covered her every move down there -- had a strong showing as well. And with the 2020 Games in Tokyo just over a year away, she illustrated that she remains one to watch!
