RICHMOND, Va. -- Ah, Starling Marte … you want to love him, even though he doesn’t always make it easy.
He’s been one of the most exciting players on the Pirates' roster since the very first time he stepped into that batter’s box in Houston, and hard as it is to believe, is the longest tenured player on the team, by a decent margin. Confounding though he can be, I really hope he’s still here at season’s end.
