Yasiel Puig. – MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

LATROBE, Pa. -- With Major League Baseball's trade deadline set for today, we're keeping track of all the latest moves across the big leagues.

The Pirates have made one move thus far, swapping Jordan Lyles to the Brewers for Class AA reliever Cody Ponce. You can view our coverage of that trade right here.

Here's the latest from around the league, with an obvious tilt toward what might impact the local club:

Wednesday, 4:20 p.m.: Per Dan Hayes, the Twins acquired RHP Sam Dyson from the Giants in exchange for RHP Kai-Wei Teng, RHP Prelander Berroa and OF Jaylin Davis. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 4:17 p.m.: Per Jeff Passan, the Dodgers got a reliever — but it's not Felipe Vazquez. The team acquired Adam Kolarek from the Rays. Kolarek has a 3.95 ERA with a 1.223 WHIP in 43.1 innings pitched this season. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 4:15 p.m.: And here's a late bombshell! Zack Greinke is headed to the Astros, per Ken Rosenthal. At 69-39, the Astros already sit atop the AL West. Adding Greinke could provide the icing on another World Series run. Per Joel Sherman, the Diamondbacks will receive OF/1B Seth Beer, 3B Joshua Rojas, RHP Corbin Martin and RHP J.B. Bukauskas.  -- Hunter

Wednesday, 4:11 p.m.: Tigers outfielder Nick Castellanos is headed to the Cubs, per multiple reports. No word on the return just yet. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 4:09 p.m.: As expected, a few smaller-scale moves came to light after 4 p.m.

The Yankees received LHP Alfredo Garcia from the Rockies in exchange for RHP Joseph Harvey per an officially announce on the team's company Twitter account. Meanwhile, the Rays acquired RHP Nick Anderson and SP Trevor Richards from the Marlins, per Jon Heyman. In return there, the Marlins will get outfielder Jesus Sanchez and RHP Ryne Stanek from the Rays. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 4:01 p.m.: While news may continue to trickle in, the trade deadline has officially passed. Per reports, both Felipe Vazquez and Zack Wheeler, two of the day's most intriguing targets, will stay put. We'll continue to update this as any more moves come through. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 3:59 p.m.: The Astros have acquired RHP Joe Biagini and Aaron Sanchez from the Blue Jays, per Rob Longley. The Blue Jays receive Derek Fisher in return.

This year, Biagini has a 3.86 ERA and a 1.367 WHIP with 49 strikeouts in 49 innings pitched. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 3:42 p.m.: The Braves aren't done, acquiring former Pirates reliever Mark "The Shark" Melancon. Rollison

Wednesday, 3:36 p.m.: Well, the pressure is really on now. - Rollison

Wednesday, 3:17 p.m.: The pressure is getting a little more thick in Dodgerland right about now.. - Rollison

Wednesday, 3:15 p.m.: Things are exploding now. The Dodgers have acquired Jedd Gyorko from the Cardinals. - Rollison

Wednesday, 2:35 p.m.: The Yankees have apparently been thwarted in their attempts to land a big name to their rotation. Clint Frazier, as you'll recall, was Neal Huntington's preferred target in the Gerrit Cole trade two offseasons ago. - Rollison

Wednesday, 2:29 p.m.: The Athletics netted RHP Tanner Roark from the Reds. This season, Roark is 6-7 with a 4.24 ERA and a 1.423 WHIP. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 2:23 p.m.: According to Jon Morosi, Dodgers shortstop Gavin Lux is not for sale at any price. Should the Pirates deal Felipe Vazquez to the Dodgers, Lux wouldn't be coming to Pittsburgh. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 2:21 p.m.: The Brewers and Giants struck a deal.

Dubon is the Brewers' No. 3 prospect, so a significant return was expected here. Per Jeff Passan, that'll be Drew Pomeranz, who struggled as a starter earlier this season but has posted a 0.00 ERA across five-and-one-third innings out of the bullpen in his last four appearances.  -- Hunter

Wednesday, 2:12 p.m.: The Nationals landed LHP Roenix Elias from the Mariners, per Joel Sherman. In 2019, Elias is 4-2 with a 4.40 ERA and a 1.255 WHIP. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 2:08 p.m.: Is Felipe Vazquez simply too expensive? Per Jon Heyman, that appears to be the case, as the Dodgers — Vazquez's likeliest suitor — are zeroing in on Shane Greene. Stay tuned. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.: The Nationals have acquired former Pirates reliever Daniel Hudson from the Blue Jays. Hudson pitched for the PBC in 2017 before being flipped to the Rays for Corey Dickerson in one of the more lopsided trades in recent memory. Hudson is pitching much better this year with a 3.00 ERA, but other peripherals -- a 4.21 FIP along with 4.3 BB/9 -- cloud this rosy picture. In exchange for Hudson, the northerners receive 2017 sixth-round draft choice Kyle Johnston from the Nats. - Rollison

Wednesday, 1:45 p.m.: Per reports, the Yankees are actively showing interest in another arm. Right now, they're targeting Tigers RHP Shane Greene and Giants starter Madison Bumgarner.

Meanwhile, Jon Morosi reports the Tigers are looking to send Greene to the Nationals in exchange for shortstop Carter Keiboom.

This season, Greene, a clearly coveted arm, has posted a 1.18 ERA with 22 saves against three blown saves. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 1:43 p.m.: A bit of a round-up here ... Mark Bowman reports the Braves are indeed still working hard to find another closer, while the Rays are also "working on adding a pitcher," per Marc Tompkins.

Sticking with the pitching theme, Jon Heyman reports that Mets RHP Edwin Diaz is now considered unlikely to be dealt. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 1:20 p.m.: The White Sox acquired two right-handed pitchers, Joe Jarneski and Ray Castro, in exchange for RHP Nate Jones, international slot compensation and cash considerations to the Rangers. -- Hunter

Wednesday, 1:03 p.m.: Minor trade, but a trade all the same, as Tony Kemp heads from the Astros to the Cubs in exchange for Martin Maldonado: -- Hunter

Wednesday, 12:52 p.m: There's a showdown brewing between two of MLB's premiere franchises for pitching talent. - Rollison

Wednesday, 12:45 p.m: With things starting to heat up, let's take a quick moment and round up the latest rumors surrounding the Pirates' NL Central Rivals.

The Brewers, as we just updated, sent Aguilar out and brought in righty Jacob Faria in return from the Rays. We also know that the Brew Crew have their eye on Keone Kela from your hometown club, along with keeping their eyes on other pitching targets such as the Mariners' Mike Leake.

Is the Cardinals' devil magic muted this year? There hasn't been much noise out of Busch stadium as we approach this year's deadline. The most notable, if you want to call it that, nugget is that the Cards will look to trade Morgantown native Jedd Gyorko while pursuing controllable starting pitching.

The Cubs have had their eye on Royals star Whit Merrifield for some time now, but KC's ask remains ridiculously high enough to keep the Cubs at bay. At the time of this update there are no other substantial rumors tied to the north siders.

The Reds also are at a standstill right now, but if they should breeze past the deadline with no further moves, they would have to be happy with their haul of bringing in Bauer for a 2020 run. - Rollison

Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.: The Brewers have sent noted Pirates killer Jesus Aguilar to the Rays as per Jeff Passan of ESPN. As of this writing, the return is not yet known. Aguilar is having a down year at the plate, slashing just .225/.320/.374, but has historically been trouble for Pirates pitchers. In 127 plate appearances against them for his career, Aguilar has a much better line of .299/.394/.617. - Rollison

Wednesday 11:30 a.m.: It would appear that the Mets are pulling Noah Syndergaard off of the block, as per Joel Sherman. After the Metropolitans acquired Marcus Stroman, there was some thought they would actively pursue a landing spot for "Thor," but their thinking now appears to have changed. -Rollison

Wednesday, 10:30 a.m: Good morning! The day is here. MLB clubs will have until 4:00 p.m. EST to submit trades to the league office. As I caution everyone this time of year, just because a deal is not announced by 4:00 does not mean a deal has not been done. News of deals will trickle out after that time, as clubs must inform agents, traveling secretaries, etc. while also allowing the league to process the trade. It's gonna be wild and woolly, so check back on this file throughout the day. - Rollison

Tuesday, 10:18 p.m.: Book it. Yasiel Puig, as mentioned below, has indeed been dealt by the Reds. But check it out:

This is a pretty wild trade as-is, but add in the fact that Puig was literally kept in the game vs. the Pirates despite being traded and things take an extra shot of chaos. As it stands, this one isn't quite final, but what's known is reported by Jeff Passan above. Trevor Bauer is headed to the Reds, Logan Allen and Puig are going to Cleveland, and prospect Taylor Trammell is headed west to San Diego.

Mark Feinsand added that outfielder Franmil Reyes will head from the Padres to the Indians as well.

Stay tuned. -- Hunter

Tuesday, 8:00 p.m: Yasiel Puig has been a solid-enough bat for the Reds this season, but his time in the River City might be short. Multiple reports indicate that the market for his services is heating up, with the Braves being listed as the most serious suitors as of this writing. If that's not enough, the Reds are also in play for Indians starter Trevor Bauer as per Ken Rosenthal. As you no doubt know, the Reds leapfrogged the Pirates recently for fourth place in the NL Central, and appear to be operating as a team on the rise. - Rollison

Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.: There's nothing weirder at this deadline than seeing the Padres connected to immediate needs, being that they're 18 games out, but they're damned near everywhere. Even on the Mets' Noah Syndergaard, probably the prize of the available starters. The Mets have made known -- and I heard this in New York, too -- that they don't want prospects for Syndergaard. They want immediate help. As such, there's no shortage of suitors, as one might imagine. Still bizarre that San Diego's one of them. -- DK

Tuesday, 3:55 p.m.: The Pirates are 'unlikely' to trade Vazquez or Starling Marte, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman, who's tight with Scott Boras, who's tight with everyone. -- DK

Tuesday, 2:30 p.m: According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicagothe Cubs are on the verge of acquiring relief help in David Phelps, now formerly of the Blue Jays. Phelps is an accomplished reliever who has spent time with the Marlins, Yankees and Mariners before heading north in the offseason. He has posted a 3.63 ERA this season while striking out a robust 25.4 percent of his batters faced. This, after working his way back to baseball after 21 months on the shelf due to, you guessed it, Tommy John surgery. - Rollison

Tuesday, 2:19 p.m.: Is Madison Bumgarner on the move? Per Tim Brown, the Giants and Astros are discussing their options. The Astros, at 68-39 and first in the AL West, are firmly set to make a run, while the Giants sit 14 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. That said, the Dodgers are borderline unfair this season, and the Giants are still just 2.5 games out of the NL Wild Card.

Tuesday, 1:50 p.m.: BEWARE OF BUYER! The Rays are looking for corner outfielders and, as such, are talking to the Padres about Hunter Renfroe and others. The Pirates, of course, have corner outfielders to give in Melky Cabrera and Corey Dickerson. But the Pirates, if they were smart -- they are not -- would never again pick up a phone call emanating from St. Petersburg, Fla. -- DK

Tuesday, 1:40 p.m.: If the Dodgers can't pry Vazquez away away from the Pirates, they might turn their attention to Edwin Diaz of the Mets, as per multiple reports. Diaz came over to the Amazin's in the same deal that netted them Robinson Cano during the offseason. Diaz currently carries a 4.95 ERA, but other peripherals still point toward his being an effective reliever. - Rollison

Tuesday, 1:16 p.m.: The Pirates' primary target from the Dodgers, per ESPN's Buster Olney, is 21-year-old infielder Gavin Lux, who's been nothing less than a baseball god since being promoted midseason to Class AAA with a slash line of -- sit down for this -- .474/.553/.918 with eight home runs in 114 plate appearances. As one might imagine, Los Angeles management would not be eager to let this young man go. -- DK

Tuesday, 1:06 p.m.: Best way to set up the closer market is to look at the bigger picture. The four teams most aggressively pursuing one, and per this catch-all from MLBTradeRumors.com, that would be the Dodgers, Rays, Braves, Red Sox and Padres. (And no, I have no idea why San Diego would want one at 18 games out, either.) Also within that is yet another reiteration, this from Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, another of the best in the business, that the Pirates are playing big-time hardball on Felipe Vazquez. We'll see if that holds. They've struck that pose in the past, then sent someone away for whatever was the best offer. See: Gerrit Cole. -- DK

Tuesday, 12:21 p.m.: All that matters is what the Dodgers do, right? Well, MLB Network's Jon Paul Morosi, one of the business, reports that it isn't just the Pirates with whom they're discussing a closer. -- DK
