RICHMOND, Va. -- There’s been a lot of talk about our city’s sports franchise owners of late, much of it choked with vitriol … some of it deserved, some not so much.
Still, we’ve been lucky to have had some of the best, and you’d be hard-pressed to hear a single unkind word about them.
Mario Lemieux and Dan Rooney come to mind, as does perhaps the most beloved of all, “The Chief,” Art Rooney Sr., lost 31 years ago this week.
