RICHMOND, Va. -- Looking back at the recaps from the Steelers’ Christmas present to their fans (for the second consecutive year) in 2017, I was struck by how much has changed in such a short period of time. Le’Veon Bell carrying the rock, Ben Roethlisberger throwing shoestring-catch touchdowns, and injured Antonio Brown on the sideline.
NFL truly does seem to stand for “Not For Long.”
One nice little bit of continuity, though, is evident in the dominant performance of the defense that day, a glimpse of things to come for a unit that has grown so much more proficient with the addition of Minkah Fitzpatrick and Devin Bush, and the further emergence of players like T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward.
