Antonio Brown just keeps apologizing — and this time, he's dedicated an Instagram post to Ben Roethlisberger:
Oh yes. That's the good stuff.
Besides the image of the greatest jerseys in Steelers history, let's dive into this one.
The picture itself shows Roethlisberger's face, not Brown's. That's a big step for somebody with a tradition of being vain, like Brown. The words support the fact Brown's actively trying to make a change, too, starting with that opening line:
"Mostly you a little bit of me! Yee yee !!"
Not sure what "Yee yee !!" means exactly. The meat there, of course, is the fact that Brown is conceding Roethlisberger as the Batman to his Robin with "mostly you."
Then, he continues, saying he "never realized how good I had it" and "I really apologize for my actions sincerely man!"
Look, it's a long way back to Pittsburgh for Brown. Besides the fact he's dealing with numerous legal issues and an NFL investigation into sexual assault allegations, Brown has taken shots at numerous current players, including Roethlisberger and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Now, he's formally apologized to Roethlisberger on his Instagram. He did the same with Smith-Schuster — sort of — at the end of January.
It's an Instagram post. There's not a ton to take away here, friends. But I gotta say: I'm encouraged by Brown's recent actions. Sincere or not, he's saying the right things and he's kept his actions in check. That's a positive step, and that's the best you can hope for from him at this time. Where those steps lead remains to be seen.
