Narduzzi’s retweet: Recruiting tactic, foreshadowing, just for kicks?

Pat Narduzzi has an interesting history when it comes to Twitter.

There's the time Narduzzi tweeted this just after Penn State lost to Ohio State after blowing a two-touchdown lead in 2017:

Nevermind that Pitt lost to Penn State, 33-14, earlier that season.

More recently, Narduzzi dropped a doozy not long after Peters Township High School's Donovan McMillon, rated the No. 19 safety prospect in the country by Rivals, did not list Pitt among his 10 finalists.

Those are two of the more curious tweets from Narduzzi's timeline, but most of his social media work is geared toward wishing players and members of the staff well on their birthdays, news about his players and promotional videos.

Like this one narrated by former Pitt player and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick:

But earlier Friday, Narduzzi did something a little different. He retweeted a workout video by Central Catholic High School product Elliot Donald, nephew of Pitt great and NFL star Aaron Donald and one of Pitt's top targets in the Class of 2021.

Is it a recruiting ploy? Is it foreshadowing something? Or was Narduzzi simply impressed? Time will tell, but Pitt is considered one of the favorites in landing one of the WPIAL's most wanted players.

In the video, Elliot does multiple reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

A 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive tackle, Donald is four-star prospect and the No. 82 player in the country, according to Rivals. Penn State, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, West Virginia and Ohio State are among his other offers.
