Major League Baseball's COVID-19 spike, which stems from the Miami Marlins, continues to get worse, and it is starting to look possible that not every team will be able to play 60 games.

Four more Marlins tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday, raising their total to 17 since Friday. Miguel Rojas is among those who just tested positive.

Despite knowing three players had tested positive before the game Sunday, the remaining Marlins decided to play anyway. Rojas is credited to being a team leader and was a proponent of playing.

Now, MLB is shutting down the Marlins from playing until Aug. 3. Team CEO Derek Jeter says the club will conduct daily tests in the meantime.

The Phillies, who played the Marlins over the weekend, will also be shutdown, but only until July 31. No Phillies have tested positive for the virus, though one staff member did. They were tested again Tuesday.

The Yankees were supposed to play the Phillies this week, but will instead fly out to Baltimore to play the Orioles, who were supposed to play the Marlins.

The Nationals, who were scheduled to play the Marlins this weekend, will be off instead. Initially, they petitioned to hold the series in Washington D.C. rather than Miami because of the health risks.

With all the schedule juggling going on right now, it's starting to look possible that not every team will be able to play a full 60-game season.

On Tuesday, Phillies manager Joe Girardi addressed that on MLB Network Radio saying, "If everyone doesn't play 60 games, I think that's all right."

More to come with new developments.
