Noah's name will be familiar to those who've been listening to our daily Pirates podcasts on DK Sports Radio, where he's joined his friend Alex Stumpf in delivering some seriously intensive, entertaining baseball talk. Noah will be charged with building up our podcasting network, and he'll additionally support Alex on the Pirates beat, as well as covering Duquesne basketball for us if/when that takes place this winter.
A couple years ago, Noah interviewed with us right out of college -- University of Mount Union, class of 2017 -- but it wasn't quite a match at the time. And all he did in the interim was work relentlessly, working high school sports for the Beaver County Times and the Tribune-Review, as well as producing the Pirates' pregame and postgame shows for 93.7 The Fan. He then took a radio job in Canton, Ohio -- both on-air and behind the scenes -- at News-Talk 1480 WHBC.
I could go on, or I could condense it to this: Alex really wanted him here. Never stopped bugging us about it. And I'd hope you've seen enough of Alex's own work ethic and enterprise to know why we'd trust his judgment.
