OK, so Pitt probably won't beat No. 2 Virginia over in Charlottesville in a couple days.
The Panthers probably won't make the NCAA Tournament, either.
And with that double-dosage of basketball bummer, I'll go right ahead and throw in a third: They probably won't reach their peak with this particular group for another couple of years.
But man, that peak's looking more promising by the day, isn't it?
