In the PNC Park era, though, it’s hard to top the 2014 edition … a team adjusting to the pressure of high expectations living up to the hype, and in exciting fashion. There are many challenges the 2018 Pirates will face, but high expectations are not one of them. But if yesterday’s result proves anything, it’s that hope springs eternal!
I was walking through downtown Greenville this week with a Pirates cap on, and a guy walked up and introduced himself. Apparently, he’s a great-great-grand-nephew of Roberto Clemente. About to leave for Puerto Rico to do some charity work.
Small world, eh?
