Ben Roethlisberger has thrown the ball just once since injuring his right elbow in overtime of the Steelers' 21-21 tie last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, that coming on the team's final offensive play of the game.
Roethlisberger will probably lightly test the elbow today, but it will largely be a day off as the Steelers begin preparations for their home opener Sunday at Heinz Field against the Kansas City Chiefs.
