The Steelers wore their Color Rush uniforms last season against the Panthers -- MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Steelers will break out their Color Rush and throwback jerseys for a pair of home games at midseason.

The team announced Tuesday it will wear its primarily black with gold accent color-rush jerseys for a Monday night game Oct. 28 against the Dolphins. The Steelers are 3-0 when they've worn those jerseys, including a 52-21 win over the Panthers at Heinz Field last season.

Nov. 10, the team will wear its popular throwback jerseys to help celebrate its Alumni Weekend when the Steelers host the Rams at Heinz Field. The throwbacks feature block lettering from the 1970s-era jerseys.

The Steelers unveiled those throwback uniforms in 2018 for a game against the Browns, winning that day, 33-18.

Prior to last season, the Steelers wore their "bumble bee" throwback uniforms that the team wore in the 1930s era.

This year's Alumni Weekend will honor the Super Bowl XIV championship team that won the title at the completion of the 1979 season. That team defeated the Rams, 31-19, to win the fourth of their Super Bowl victories in six seasons.

The 2019 Hall of Honor class will be inducted in a ceremony before the team hosts the Bengals on Monday Night Football, Sept. 30. The 2019 class includes Larry Brown, Bill Cowher, Elbie Nickel and Hines Ward. The induction ceremony will be held at Heinz Field Sept. 29, with an in-game ceremony during halftime of the game against Cincinnati.

Brown was a member of that Super Bowl XIV team, one of four Super Bowls he won while with the Steelers. Twenty-two players were four-time Super Bowl winners with the team.
