SAN JOSE, Calif. —"You never know when you're going to have another chance at a championship," Billy Guerin was telling me the other day, and he grasps the concept better than most. He wears two Stanley Cup rings on his right hand, one he won in 1995 as a 24-year-old babyface in New Jersey, the other with the Penguins in 2009. They might as well be on separate limbs. "It took a long time to get back. It did. And it's funny because when you get there, you think it's going to happen every year. You look around the room and see all those great players and you feel like you're set forever."
That's the moment.
That's where these Penguins are on this steamy Saturday in Silicon Valley, on the precipice of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final after taking the first two from the Sharks. They're right there. They can feel it.
