That visit Ben Roethlisberger had with his doctor in Los Angeles Friday must have gone OK.
The Steelers posted a video of Roethlisberger, looking trim despite still having a very thick beard, tossing a football in a gym on Saturday.
The quarterback isn't exactly letting it rip, but the fact he's able to throw a football is a good sign. Here's a look:
Roethlisberger is attempting to return to the field in 2020, missing all but six quarters of the 2019 season after suffering an elbow injury. He had surgery on the injury in September.
The Steelers have continually said they expect their two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback to make a full recovery.
Roethlisberger, who turns 38 in March, has two years remaining on his current contract. He counts $33.5 million against the team's salary cap in 2020.
