Hunter Homistek

HUNTER HOMISTEK, hails from McConnellsburg, Pa., covers the Pirates, Major League Baseball and Duquesne basketball, and serves as Director of Content Marketing for DK Pittsburgh Sports.

Background: While studying journalism at West Virginia University, Hunter began working for Bleacher Report, where he covered the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). He combined his work there with a position as the Arts & Entertainment editor of the school’s newspaper, The Daily Athenaeum, and a freelance role with Ideahaus, a creative communications agency based out of Pittsburgh and San Diego. After graduating college, Hunter continued his work with Ideahaus and his efforts in the MMA space, covering fights, interviewing fighters, and more for Bleacher Report, MMAFighting.com, and FloCombat. Most recently, Hunter served as editor and content marketing coordinator at FloSports.

Personal: At any given time, Hunter can be found smoking meats, sipping craft brews, playing guitar, hanging out with his friends and family, or running around with his German Shepherd, Babs. He loves music—especially metal—and he is attracted to the smell of charcoal like a bee to honey.
