Lance Lysowski

LANCE LYSOWSKI, born in Pittsburgh and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, covers the Pittsburgh Pirates and Major League Baseball for DKPittsburghSports.com.

Career: Lance graduated from Kent State University, where he covered almost every athletic program for the Daily Kent Stater, including the Golden Flashes’ football team in 2010. After graduating in 2013, he joined the Observer-Reporter in Washington, Pa., where he covered high school and college sports, including comprehensive coverage of 22 schools in the WPIAL. While building a following in Washington and Greene counties with in-depth high school coverage, he began covering Pitt football in September 2015.

Personal: Lance lives in Dormont with his cat, Zoey. He grew up playing hockey as a mediocre goalie, and credits the football-crazed atmosphere of Youngstown for his dream of becoming a sports writer.
