Nearly a month after suffering severe burns in a bonfire accident, Penguins prospect Jordy Bellerive continues to make progress.
Jon Stea, a strength and conditioning coach based out of Bellerive's hometown North Vancouver, posted an update on Instagram.
"Jordy’s recovery is weeks ahead of schedule due to his commitment to his nutrition," Stea said. "His progress in the gym has been incredible. From bodyweight exercise 12 days post, to working back up to 80 percent of his normal weights. Well on his way to being ready for the ice!"
Bellerive's conditioning coach shared these videos along with the update:
Bellerive will represent Canada at the World Junior Showcase from July 28 - Aug. 4 in Kamloops, B.C., along with fellow Penguins prospects Calen Addison and Justin Almeida.
