The Penguins have recalled forwards Zach Aston-Reese and Garrett Wilson, it was announced Tuesday.
Aston-Reese and Wilson both lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in goals, with six each in 11 games. In Wilkes-Barre's most recent game, an 8-5 loss in Bridgeport, Aston-Reese recorded a hat trick:

Aston-Reese and Wilson will aim to bring life back into the Penguins' lineup, which has only scored three goals in its past three games. In addition to their scoring, they have been two of Wilkes-Barre's most physical players in the first 11 games of the season, and will surely provide some energy to the roster.
Aston-Reese is waiver-exempt, and can remain in Pittsburgh for as long as needed and freely be reassigned to Wilkes-Barre at any point, if the Penguins choose to do so. Wilson requires waivers, but since he cleared waivers already this season, he can remain on the NHL active roster for up to 10 games or 30 days without requiring additional waivers.
In a subsequent move, the Penguins reassigned Derek Grant to Wilkes-Barre. Grant cleared waivers at the beginning of the season and has only played in six NHL games since he was last recalled from Wilkes-Barre on Oct. 15, so he did not require additional waivers to go back down.
