Sidney Crosby has been named the NHL's Third Star of the Week for the period between Feb. 25 and March 3.
Crosby recorded three goals and five assists in three games this week. He recorded a goal and an assist in both the 5-2 win in Columbus and 4-3 overtime loss in Buffalo.
Crosby's most productive game of the week came in Montreal, when he scored 21 seconds into the game and added three assists in a huge 5-1 win.
This is the second time in three weeks that Crosby has been named the Third Star of the Week, and the fourth time this season that Crosby has been named a star. He was previously named the First Star for the final week of October, and the week including the All-Star Game.
The Jets' Blake Wheeler was named the Second Star, for his five-goal, three-assist performance in three games. Marc-Andre Fleury earned top honors this week for posting a 0.33 goals-against average, .987 save percentage and two shutouts in three wins for the Golden Knights.
