UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Jared McCann is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will miss Game 2 of the Penguins' first-round matchup against the Islanders, the Penguins announced Friday.
McCann was crosschecked by Cal Clutterbuck across the back in Game 1, an infraction that went uncalled. He skated off the ice hunched over, visibly in pain.
McCann participated in Thursday's afternoon practice, and was seen speaking to team doctors in the tunnel towards the end of practice. He also took part in Friday's morning skate.
