The television show The Office was based in Scranton, Pa., and there are a few references to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins throughout the series.
One of those references comes in the episode "Michael's Birthday", the 19th episode of the second season. Dwight gifts Michael a Wilkes-Barre jersey, with "From Dwight" written across the nameplate.
Wilkes-Barre has created a T-shirt replicating the jersey from the show. It can be found in their team store.

The Sharks' former AHL affiliate in Worcester used to play The Office theme song whenever the Penguins were in town. Casey DeSmith, a huge fan of the show, covered his mask with references to the show when he played in Wilkes-Barre:
Creed Bratton, who plays a character by the same name in the show, received a jersey from the team when he was performing in Wilkes-Barre in March 2018.
