Sidney Crosby has been named the NHL's Third Star of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 13, the NHL announced on Monday.
Crosby registered three goals and four assists in four games last week, bringing his season points total to 10 — three goals and seven assists in six games. He's recorded at least one point in each of the Penguins' six games.
Crosby's first goal of the week was the lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Jets on Oct. 8:
Crosby picked up a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over the Ducks on Oct. 10:
Crosby added another goal and an assist in a 7-4 win over the Wild on Oct. 12:
Crosby closed out the week with two assists in a 7-2 win over the Jets on Oct. 13:
The Oilers' Connor McDavid took home First Star honors for recording two goals and five assists in three games, and the Jets' Patrik Laine was named Second Star for recording two goals and six assists in three games.
