Kris Letang. -- MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

Kris Letang will be in the lineup for the Penguins' game against the Flames at PPG Paints Arena on Monday at 7 p.m., Mike Sullivan confirmed.

Sunday was Letang's first practice with the team since he was injured on Nov. 4, and he was a full participant. After Sunday's practice, Sullivan said the plan was to see how Letang responded overnight and that he would likely be a game-time decision. Instead of being a game-time decision, Letang is officially in the lineup, so there were presumably no issues after practice.

On Sunday the Penguins used the following defense pairings in practice:

Brian Dumoulin – Kris Letang
Jack Johnson – John Marino
Marcus Pettersson – Zach Trotman
Juuso Riikola – Chad Ruhwedel

Letang also practiced on the top power-play unit on Sunday alongside Evgeni Malkin, Jake Guentzel, Patric Hornqvist, and Bryan Rust. Sullivan is looking forward to having Letang back on the man advantage.

"He helps it in all aspects," Sullivan said. "He helps in breakouts, he's good along the offensive blue line. He's a good offensive player; he's got good instincts. He sees it pretty good. He's got good speed, he can shoot the puck. I don't think there's any one thing he's going to help more than others, we're a better power play when he's on it."
