BALTIMORE -- NBC Sports has suspended Jeremy Roenick indefinitely without pay over inappropriate comments he made about other NBC Sports hosts while on an episode of Spittin' Chiclets.
Roenick spoke about a vacation he took with his wife and NBC Sports colleague Kathryn Tappen. Roenick said during the vacation, a woman at the resort asked Roenick about the nature of his relationship with the two women. "I play it off like we're going to bed together every night, the three of us," he said. "If it really came to fruition, that would really be good, but it's never going to happen."
Roenick also joked about sleeping with another one of his NBC Sports coworkers, former Blackhawk and current NBC analyst Patrick Sharp, saying “I'd have to think about it if he asked me. ... I wouldn't say no right away.”
Roenick then praised Sharp while contrasting his work with that of himself and analyst Anson Carter. “It's good to have a beautiful face that talks well, that knows the game because it's totally the opposite when me and Anson get on there.”

Tappen issued a response toward Roenick's comments on Tuesday afternoon to John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal through NBC PR saying she doesn’t condone Roenick’s comments.“While Jeremy and I continue to be good friends, what he said was unacceptable, especially among workplace colleagues. I do not condone his comments,” she said.
