DETROIT -- Brian Dumoulin has yet to resume skating since undergoing ankle surgery on Dec. 1, andĀ Mike Sullivan says there is still no timeframe for when Dumoulin will resume skating.
When the Penguins announced Dumoulin underwent surgery to repair lacerated tendons, he was expected to be out a minimum of eight weeks, and we're close to the seven-week mark in his rehab. Sometime within the last two weeks, he began walking without using a walking boot on his left foot.
"All I can tell you is I do know he's making progress," Sullivan said of Dumoulin's status.
Sullivan added that Dumoulin works with trainers "on a daily basis" in the rehab process, and that when Dumoulin gets closer to returning to actual game action, he'll resume attending team meetings to get "tuned in to all the details of our team game."
