CRANBERRY, Pa. -- Sidney Crosby was back on the ice at the UPMC Lemieux Complex Wednesday morning.

When the doors opened for media 30 minutes before the Penguins' 10:30 a.m. practice, Crosby appeared to be wrapping up his session on the ice. When the zambonis came out at 10:15, Crosby collected the pucks that were on the ice, grabbed his sticks that were next to the bench, and went back down the hallway to the locker room.

Crosby was not on the ice when the Penguins began practice at 10:30.

Mike Sullivan declined to comment on Crosby's status after practice, and only acknowledged that Crosby skated on his own this morning.
