Tristan Jarry and Kris Letang have been selected for the 2020 All-Star game, the Penguins announced on Tuesday.
Jarry will replace the Blue Jackets' Joonas Korpisalo, who will miss the game with a lower-body injury. Kris Letang will replace Jake Guentzel, after Guentzel suffered a shoulder injury the day he was initially named to the All-Star roster.
Letang's addition was not a result of the Last Men In voting, in which Letang was the Penguins' entrant. The Last Men In voting is still open, and will not close until Jan. 10.
The other goaltender for the Metropolitan division is Braden Holtby. The other skaters participating are the Devils’ Kyle Palmieri, Islanders’ Mathew Barzal, Rangers’ Artemi Panarin, Flyers’ Travis Konecny, Capitals’ John Carlson, Hurricanes’ Dougie Hamilton, and the Blue Jackets’ Seth Jones.
The All-Star weekend will be held Jan. 24 and 25 in St. Louis, and the game will follow the same format as past years: a three-game tournament of three-on-three hockey. I'll be there with our site's coverage.
